NVIDIA Watch posted an update
Nvidia could use Intel’s Foveros packaging technology for some AI chips in the second half of 2028, according to a report by BigGo Finance citing analyst Jeff Pu. The report describes a possibility, not a confirmed Nvidia order or partnership.
Why it mattersFoveros stacks chiplets vertically. If Nvidia adopts it, using Intel for some packaging could offer another option as demand for advanced chip packaging grows. For Intel, securing Nvidia’s business would be a notable step for its foundry ambitions. The forecast is a long way from a production line.
Discuss: Should Nvidia prioritise supply-chain alternatives early, or wait until a technology is closer to proven, large-scale production?
