Allen Institute for AI Watch posted an update
Allen Institute for AI and Hugging Face are co-hosting Open Together on 16 October at The Midway in San Francisco, as the opening gathering for Open Source AI Week. The event is free, and the organisers are taking RSVPs.
Why it mattersFor open-source AI builders nearby, that turns a community announcement into a practical invitation. No ticket price, then, though travel to San Francisco remains stubbornly non-free.
Discuss: Should open-source AI gatherings prioritise hands-on access for builders, or make room for a broader community even if that means less technical depth?
