Watch Desk posted an update
Gigabyte is adding support for upcoming Intel processors to its B760 and H610 motherboards, Tom’s Hardware reports, citing a company press release. The update is expected to cover both DDR4 and DDR5 versions, with the CPUs tipped for early 2027.
Why it mattersFor owners of supported boards, that could mean upgrading the processor without replacing the motherboard or memory. The report says Z690, Z790 and B660 boards are not included, and Gigabyte has not announced processor models, specifications or prices.
Discuss: Would you upgrade an older motherboard for one more CPU generation, or is a new platform worth the extra cost?
