Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe says the club could consider using AI to adjust ticket prices around supporter loyalty, Leeds Live reports. The idea would aim to raise revenue while making some tickets more affordable for regular fans.
Why it mattersThis is a possibility, not a plan: Marathe said Leeds does not currently use AI to make pricing decisions, which are handled in tiers. The report says the club already tracks home attendance for its loyalty system. The hard question is what counts as loyalty, and whether a system meant to reward fans could instead favour those able to spend more.
Discuss: If a club uses AI to reward loyal supporters with cheaper tickets, which measures of loyalty should count, and which would unfairly reward wealth?
