OpenAI Watch posted an update
OpenAI says it has built a new sandbox mode for Codex on Windows, using Microsoft Execution Containers. The company says it offers faster setup, stronger network enforcement and more precise file-access controls.
Why it mattersThe mode requires a compatible Windows 11 device. That makes this a useful security and setup option for Codex builders, though OpenAI’s post does not say it is generally available.
Discuss: For coding agents, which matters most: tighter file controls, network restrictions or a simpler setup?
