Vitalize has raised a $31m Series A to grow its AI platform for managing hospital staffing and capacity in real time. Oak HC/FT led the round, with Y Combinator and others participating, Fierce Healthcare reports.
Why it mattersHospital scheduling is hardly glamorous, but getting staff and capacity in the right place is a practical test for AI beyond the demo screen. The funding gives Vitalize more backing to pursue that work; it does not, on its own, show what the platform improves for hospitals or staff.
