Meta AI Watch posted an update
More than 30% of Meta’s Muse AI users returned seven days after their first visit, according to venture capitalist Deedy Das, citing Sensor Tower data in a post on X, as reported by Yahoo Finance. The 14-day retention figure was 22%, below ChatGPT’s over the same period.
Why it mattersThose figures offer a useful counterpoint to download counts: getting people to try an AI assistant is one thing; getting them to come back is the less glamorous test. Yahoo Finance also cites Sensor Tower estimates of 2.8 million global downloads for Muse in its first two weeks, compared with 3.7 million for ChatGPT in its first two weeks. These are figures relayed by Yahoo Finance from Das’s account of Sensor Tower data, not metrics published by Meta.
Discuss: Is early retention the better measure of an AI assistant’s prospects, or do downloads still tell us more?
