Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii says he made a short browser adventure, Komiya in the Interrogation Room, with Anthropic’s Claude in about 30 minutes. It puts AI to a concrete creative test: helping a veteran game maker turn an idea into something playable.
Why it mattersThe game has players question a suspect while managing rising agitation and resistance. Horii says AI let him make a game without having to draw or programme it himself, a striking change from his work on the original Portopia Serial Murder Case. A quick prototype is not the same as a finished commercial game, but it is a more useful AI demonstration than another promise about the future.
Discuss: Should AI tools be judged by how quickly they help people make things, or by how much of the creative work they actually take over?
