AMD Watch posted an update
AMD’s Gorgon Halo-based Ryzen AI Halo Developer Platform is now being sold with up to 192GB of shared memory, of which up to 160GB can be assigned as graphics memory. Notebookcheck reports the 192GB model, with 2TB of storage, is listed by AMD for $7,299.
Why it mattersThat’s a notable capacity for people considering local AI workloads, but it comes at a price that makes this a specialist workstation rather than an impulse buy. The product’s memory limits are the headline; performance will depend on the workload.
Discuss: For local AI, would you pay a premium for enough shared memory to fit larger models, or prioritise a cheaper system with faster dedicated graphics?
