Singapore’s IMDA has teamed up with Singtel, Salesforce and Beyondsoft to help small businesses move from trying AI to using it in everyday work. The offer includes free, time-limited trials, practical workshops and help getting business data ready for AI tools.

Why it matters

What happened The partnerships, announced at Singapore’s SMEs Go Digital Day on 13 October, sit within the country’s Digital Enterprise Blueprint. GovInsider reports that the programmes will help SMEs organise data, identify useful AI workflows and try sector-specific tools. Singtel’s two-year Stack-EZ programme offers six months of complimentary access to its SPACES document-management solution for up to 10,000 eligible SMEs. The service can organise information from documents and export it in formats compatible with business applications such as customer relationship management and HR systems.

Discuss: Should public programmes prioritise free access to AI tools, or the training and data work that helps businesses use them?
