C8 Technologies’ FX Hedge is now available through Microsoft Marketplace, putting its AI-powered currency-hedging recommendations inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, including Excel, according to The Full FX.

Why it matters

The product gives treasury teams hedge-ratio recommendations based on signals including macroeconomic conditions, currency value, carry and momentum. C8 says calculations and trade-file generation happen in the client’s own environment, and that it does not see clients’ exposure data or portfolio positions. The useful shift is access: firms can find and deploy the tool through Microsoft’s marketplace rather than starting with C8 as a consultancy. C8 also touts historical performance against a static-hedge benchmark, but those figures are company claims, not independently established results.

Discuss: Should AI-powered hedging tools be judged mainly by their back-tested returns, or by how clearly customers can inspect and control their recommendations?
