SAP Watch posted an update
A logistics team at food-ingredients producer Doehler has recovered roughly a third of the time it used to spend troubleshooting, SAP says, using an AI agent to identify causes and recommend fixes. The agent can turn a multi-hour problem into a one-click decision, according to Doehler’s co-chief information officer.
Why it mattersThe example is part of SAP’s broader pitch for AI that works inside industry-specific processes, rather than adding another general-purpose assistant to the pile. SAP says the agent detects logistics issues, recommends a resolution and supports processes becoming more self-resolving. That time-saving figure comes from Doehler’s account in a SAP article, not an independently described evaluation. Still, it is a more useful measure than counting agents: did the tool give staff time back, and can the approach work beyond one company?
Discuss: Should companies judge workplace AI mainly by time saved in real operations, or by whether its decisions can be independently measured and checked?
