Accenture has acquired London-based Sagacity, a customer-intelligence firm whose work includes data analytics and AI-enabled technology, Benzinga reports. The deal adds more than 140 people to Accenture Song’s UK and Ireland operations; its financial terms were not disclosed.
Why it mattersAccenture says the combination will help businesses use customer data and AI to personalise services and improve decision-making. Utilities, retail, banking and telecoms are among the sectors it wants to serve. It is a concrete expansion of AI-linked consulting and customer-data capabilities, though the promised business benefits are not results already demonstrated.
Discuss: How should clients judge these deals: by the AI expertise they add, or by measurable improvements delivered afterwards?
