Gods Don't Give Gifts, a 104-minute science-fiction film whose visuals are generated with AI, is due in select cinemas in the US and UK on 4 December, according to MakeUseOf. It is a feature-length step for filmmaker Zack London, who has previously made short videos as Gossip Goblin.
Why it mattersThe production is not entirely AI-made: the article says people wrote the scripts, voiced the characters, composed the music and edited the film. Its visuals, however, point to a real argument about which filmmaking jobs these tools may change, not just another uncanny clip in your feed.
Discuss: Will a film like this be judged by what AI replaces, or by whether the finished work is any good?
