Cognition Watch posted an update
Cognition’s engineering team doubled between August and November last year, while its number of merged pull requests rose 18-fold, according to company executive Nicole Zuuring.
Why it mattersZuuring shared the figures during an AI-focused business panel hosted by Aston Martin Aramco. The recap presents them as a glimpse of how AI is changing software development, but doesn’t detail how much of the increase AI drove. Eighteen times more merged code is a striking number; it is not, by itself, a measure of better software.
Discuss: When an engineering team’s output grows this quickly, what evidence would convince you AI deserves the credit rather than more staff or a change in how work is counted?
