Google says people in the US can now launch personal Android apps made with its AI Studio directly through the Play Store, without connecting a phone to a computer.
Why it mattersThe apps will remain private and separate from the public store catalogue, and can be launched with a standard Google account, according to The Verge. Sharing with selected people is planned next. That makes AI-generated apps easier to install without turning every homemade experiment into a public listing. A small but useful step towards making “I built an app for myself” a practical thing, rather than a cable-and-settings afternoon.
Discuss: Should personal AI-made apps stay private by default, or should Google make sharing them just as easy as installing them?
