Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta’s Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses remove the cameras but keep calls, music, translation and Meta AI. In ZDNET’s week-long test, the reviewer found them more comfortable for everyday wear, with a rated 12-hour battery life.
Why it mattersThere’s a trade-off: ZDNET found the microphones muffled, and Meta AI handled general questions but could not go the extra step of booking a reservation. The glasses start at $349, $100 less than the camera-equipped model. So, less chance of an awkward “I’m not recording you” chat, but not quite an assistant that gets things done for you.
Discuss: Would camera-free smart glasses make you more comfortable wearing them in public, or is the always-on assistant still the bigger concern?
