Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority has announced three partnerships to help small businesses put AI to work, including free trials of tools for managing documents and building business workflows. The package also adds a curated list of more than 100 AI tools to the government’s SMEs Go Digital platform, giving firms a starting point in a marketplace that can feel like a jumble of very confident sales pitches.
Why it mattersWhat happened The partnerships were announced at SMEs Go Digital Day on 13 October, according to The Straits Times. Under the tie-up with Singtel Stack-EZ, up to 10,000 SMEs can get six months’ free access to an AI-powered data-management platform. It can classify and organise documents such as contracts, invoices and receipts, and let firms search for them or export structured data for other business uses.
Discuss: Should public support focus on giving SMEs a broad menu of AI tools, or on helping fewer firms prove that particular tools deliver real results?
