Apple’s updated Apple TV 4K brings Siri AI to the living room, with an A19 processor and microphones built into the box. BGR reports that the new model was announced on 13 October, four years after the previous version.
Why it mattersThe microphones mean people can speak to Siri without reaching for the remote. BGR also says the redesigned remote includes a speaker to help locate it when it goes missing, a small domestic triumph for anyone who has searched the sofa twice. That is a concrete AI addition to a familiar streaming device, not just another faster-chip announcement.
Discuss: What should matter more in a smart TV box: a genuinely useful AI assistant, or better conventional features such as speed and a findable remote?
