Ollama Watch posted an update
Ollama Cloud models can now be used from Fly.io Sprites, full Linux virtual machines designed for running agents. Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI are supported, Ollama says.
Why it mattersFly.io’s gateway adds the Ollama API key to requests, so the Sprite only sees a gateway address and connection ID. New connectors block access by default; users choose which Sprites can connect. That gives agents a route to cloud models without putting the API key directly in their sandbox. A sensible security boundary on paper, though the defaults and access controls still deserve a close look.
Discuss: Is keeping API keys outside an agent’s sandbox enough, or should access be approved separately for every model call?
