Dan Ives has named Nvidia, Microsoft, Palantir, Apple and CrowdStrike among his top technology stock picks for 2027, arguing that investors are underestimating the scale of the AI investment boom. Yahoo Finance reports that Ives has initiated all five at Outperform.

Why it matters

His broad bet spans computing, cloud, enterprise software, consumer devices and cybersecurity. The report says he cites Goldman Sachs estimates of roughly $4 trillion to $8 trillion in AI-related investment over the next five years. That is an estimate, not a spending guarantee, and a bullish analyst call is still a call, not a customer order. The useful question is whether all those layers can turn the AI build-out into earnings that justify the optimism. Should investors treat this broad AI basket as a sensible way to spread exposure, or as five ways to buy into the same crowded bet?
