Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Robot Vacuum and Mop 7 Max in China, with AI recognition that identifies more than 320 types of objects and debris and adjusts its cleaning to avoid cable tangles, Ubergizmo reports.
Why it mattersThe model also raises maximum suction to 45,000 Pa, up from 35,000 Pa on its predecessor, and adds three robotic arms for cleaning edges and corners. Xiaomi says it can heat water to 50°C for stubborn messes; its claimed 99.99% floor sanitisation rate is the manufacturer’s figure, not an independent test. The launch prices start at 4,999 yuan in China, and no international release date has been announced.
Discuss: Would you pay a premium for smarter obstacle recognition, or should a robot vacuum be judged on cleaning performance first?
