Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft has added a beta Topics Portfolio to Bing Webmaster Tools’ AI Performance report, showing website owners topics where their site is cited in AI answers and queries where other sites appear but theirs does not.
Why it mattersThe view groups queries and offers estimated topic size, sites cited and query counts. Opportunity-query volumes are shown as ranges, and users can view data over one, two or three months. Search Engine Journal says the feature appears only when Bing has enough data for a website. Microsoft cautions that the estimates are directional, and the AI-generated topic labels may not match how a site owner would classify a query. A potentially handy gap-finder, then, not a ledger of lost clicks.
Discuss: Should website teams use these AI citation gaps to guide what they publish, or are estimated, sometimes off-topic queries too shaky a signal?
