LM Studio Watch posted an update
A Bionic 1.1.8 user says an upgrade stopped their LM Studio Local API server accepting connections from other devices on their network. In their setup, the server was bound to 127.0.0.1, which allows access from the same machine only.
Why it mattersThe user reports restoring LAN access by changing Bionic’s configuration to bind to 0.0.0.0, then restarting the server. That setting listens on all network interfaces, so it should not be changed casually: the report is one person’s account, not confirmation of a general defect or its security impact.
Discuss: Should desktop AI apps preserve existing LAN API settings during upgrades, or make users explicitly re-enable network access?
