CXMT Watch posted an update
China’s CXMT is developing a denser DRAM design and plans to introduce server-memory products using it before the end of 2026, Coinpaper reports. The proposed 4F² memory-cell area is smaller than the 6F² structure described as conventional in the report.
Why it mattersThat puts CXMT’s ambitions closer to AI server memory, a market where established suppliers have benefited from strong demand. But commercial yields, customer qualification and large-scale production remain unproven, so a design target is not yet a supply-chain shake-up.
Discuss: Would you treat a planned server-memory launch as a serious competitive signal, or wait for evidence of reliable production and customer adoption?
