Microsoft’s Azure Machine Learning Python SDK 1.35.2 adds support for Spark runtime 3.5 when running model monitoring on serverless Spark compute, while retaining support for runtime 3.4.
Why it mattersThat gives teams using the newer Spark runtime a path to run this monitoring workload without giving up the existing 3.4 option. A small compatibility update, but the sort that can save an awkward migration detour. The change is listed in the Azure SDK release notes.
Discuss: For teams running serverless model monitoring, is support for both Spark versions useful flexibility or one more compatibility choice to manage?
