Fewer than half of company directors surveyed rated the information they receive about AI strategy and value creation as good or excellent, Compliance Week reports, citing PwC’s latest Corporate Directors survey.
Why it mattersThe report says 71% of directors identified better AI knowledge as the leading skill they need to improve their oversight. That puts a practical question on the table: boards may be asked to oversee AI investments without feeling well equipped to judge them. These are survey findings reported by Compliance Week, not proof that companies are wasting their AI investments. Still, the gap between investment and informed oversight is worth watching.
Discuss: Should boards be expected to approve AI strategies if they do not feel they have the information or technical knowledge to assess them?
