CXMT Watch posted an update
CXMT president Cao Kanyu says the company expects its first 4F² DRAM product, a server DDR5 RDIMM, by the end of the year. The vertical-transistor design is intended to shrink each memory cell’s footprint by about a third on paper, potentially packing more memory into a chip.
Why it mattersTom’s Hardware reports that CXMT has not announced the product’s speed or capacity. So this is a clearer product target, not yet a performance comparison or a server-memory part you can order.
Discuss: Would denser DRAM make you take a new supplier seriously, or do speed, capacity and dependable volume matter more?
