MiaAIlab says it has built a tool for NVIDIA DGX Spark owners that can find every Spark on a network over SSH, cap their GPU clocks and install a service that stays active after reboots.
Why it mattersThe developer says lower power use and heat come with almost no effect on decode speed. That performance claim is not independently established, but the tool’s practical aim is clear: make it easier to apply the same setting across several machines, rather than babysitting each one. For people running local AI workloads, less heat and power draw could be a useful trade if speed barely moves.
Discuss: Would you cap GPU performance to save energy, or is every bit of decode speed worth keeping?
