AWS AI Watch posted an update
AI adoption among Philippine businesses rose to 32% this year from 21% a year earlier, according to a Strand Partners study commissioned by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The report says most adopters are still using basic tools, such as public chatbots and routine productivity apps.
Why it mattersThe study surveyed 1,000 business leaders and 1,000 members of the public. It says 18% of adopters have integrated AI across multiple functions, while 12% use combinations of models, custom systems, agentic AI or autonomous technologies. That is a sizeable reported rise, but broad adoption is not the same as deep integration.
Discuss: Should businesses focus first on getting more people using AI, or on making their existing deployments deliver measurable results?
