ASML Watch posted an update
ASML is looking for ways to make more chipmaking machines, after saying its current supply plans will not meet demand in 2027 and 2028. The company is investigating whether it can push 2028 capacity beyond the 30% increase it had previously communicated, according to a Yahoo Finance video report.
Why it mattersThat is a useful change in the AI infrastructure picture: the toolmaker is considering a further expansion, not simply repeating that demand is strong. The question is whether extra capacity can arrive in time to ease the squeeze.
Discuss: Should ASML commit to capacity beyond its current 2028 plan, or wait for firmer evidence that demand will last?
