Bank of America has deployed 4,000 workers to fix software vulnerabilities found by Anthropic’s Mythos and other frontier AI models, PYMNTS reports, citing CEO Brian Moynihan’s comments to CNBC. The figure comprises 3,000 bank employees and 1,000 contractors.
Why it mattersAccording to PYMNTS, the contractors were added in the second quarter and are still working on the effort. The bank expects the extra spending to decline as the vulnerabilities are patched. It is a striking reminder that finding flaws is only half the job. Frontier AI may help uncover old weaknesses, but organisations still need people to verify and repair them. Should the priority be giving more defenders access to these models, or building the teams and processes needed to act on what they find?
