CoreWeave Watch posted an update
CoreWeave and Broadcom have objected to a request to list and trade their shares on a blockchain, according to The Information. The proposal came from OKXICE, a joint venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange.
Why it mattersThe objections put two technology companies among businesses pushing back against tokenised versions of their shares. The Information’s brief does not establish what happens next with the request, so this is a reported objection, not a final ruling on the listing.
Discuss: Should companies be able to block third parties from trading tokenised versions of their shares, or should that be up to the exchange and regulators?
