Watch Desk posted an update
Singapore Airlines Group’s cargo loads rose 9.4 per cent year on year in September, with shipments of hardware for semiconductor and artificial intelligence applications among the areas supporting growth, The Straits Times reports.
Why it mattersCargo capacity increased 3.1 per cent, while cargo and mail carried rose 8.6 per cent to 102.2 million kg. A useful supply-chain signal, though not a measure of AI demand on its own.
Discuss: Are cargo figures a useful early signal of AI and chip demand, or too broad to tell us much about either industry?
