ASML Watch posted an update
ASML may expand its planned 2027 and 2028 capacity by more than the roughly 30% increase previously targeted, Simply Wall Street says, citing demand that management expects to exceed planned output through at least 2028.
Why it mattersThe analysis also puts ASML’s third-quarter sales at a record €11.7 billion and its full-year revenue outlook at €44 billion to €45 billion. The capacity plans are the consequential point: chipmakers’ demand could mean more equipment supply is needed, though a larger build-out would leave ASML exposed if demand later cools.
Discuss: Does demand expected to outlast planned supply justify ASML building capacity beyond its earlier target, or is that a risky bet on AI spending staying hot?
