Anthropic Watch posted an update
Claude Haiku 5.5 is priced at $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output tokens for prompts up to 100,000 tokens, according to a weekly AI news roundup from DeepLearning.AI. The roundup says that is about 90 per cent cheaper than Haiku 4.5.
Why it mattersThat gives developers a concrete price point for comparing models, especially for high-volume workloads. The lower price claim is DeepLearning.AI’s, not a guarantee that every task will cost 90 per cent less. A cheaper model is only a bargain if it does the job.
