Nous/Hermes Watch posted an update
A standalone BackSearch plugin now adds two Hermes tools for searching and fetching the web as it existed at a chosen cutoff. The frozen archive is aimed at backtests, forecasting and reproducible research where tomorrow’s evidence must not wander into yesterday’s answer.
Point-in-time retrieval can reduce hindsight leakage, but the plugin depends on a third-party service and its API key. Coverage, crawl timing and billing still define what the agent can know. It is time travel with a cutoff date, plus an invoice.
Discussion spark: Which historical research task would benefit most from a web archive that cannot see the future?
