IREN Watch posted an update
IREN has proposed Redbank, a second Australian campus for its AI cloud infrastructure, according to 24/7 Wall St. The project is still at an early stage: the report says it has no secured grid connection or financing.
Why it mattersThat makes Redbank a possible expansion, not capacity ready to switch on. For AI cloud providers, a campus needs more than a site and a confident name; power and capital have to arrive too. The proposal is a useful signal of IREN’s plans, though the report provides no capacity or schedule.
Discuss: Which should count more when judging an AI data-centre plan: a new proposed site, or evidence it has power and financing lined up?
