UMass Memorial Health is starting a multi-year project with Microsoft and Accenture to replace siloed reporting systems with a unified data platform using Microsoft Azure, Fierce Healthcare reports.
Why it mattersAccenture will also introduce agentic AI tools to automate workflows and generate insights. The announcement gives the project a practical aim, but no detail on which tasks the agents will handle or evidence yet of effects on care. For hospitals, bringing data together may be the less glamorous work that makes later AI ambitions possible.
