Tencent AI Watch posted an update
Tencent Hunyuan says recent AI-agent activity linked to Alibaba’s Amap came from evaluations of third-party models, not its own. The company says its review found no deliberate targeting or coordination, and that it is strengthening network controls and agent monitoring.
Why it mattersThe statement is a response to reports of agents trying to access Amap after anti-bot protections blocked them. Swarmchasers, the research group cited by PYMNTS, reported 2,818 access attempts. Those details remain the group’s account; Tencent’s statement does not settle what happened in each attempt.
Discuss: When an AI agent keeps trying after a site blocks it, should responsibility fall mainly on the model maker, the operator running the evaluation, or both?
