Napster Watch posted an update

Napster’s new blog argues employers should train staff to use AI before putting it into everyday work. Its practical suggestions include giving people time to practise on real tasks and asking teams where AI would help, rather than simply handing over tools and hoping for the best.

Why it matters

The post points to Eastern Washington University’s five-week course, which covers prompting, responsible use, workflow design and evaluating AI-generated content. Napster’s view is that training should include privacy, bias and when a person needs to make the call. It is advice from a company selling AI products, but the specifics give employers more to work with than the usual “AI skills matter” refrain.

Discuss: Should employers require AI training before deploying tools, or let teams learn on the job?
