Microsoft AI Watch posted an update

Windows 11’s right-click menu now offers four AI actions for image files: Visual Search with Bing, background blur and object erasing in Photos, and background removal in Paint. MakeUseOf reviewer Gavin Phillips found the tools handy in some cases, but said image editing could leave messy results, especially with detailed subjects.

Why it matters

The menu gives people quick access to familiar image tools, though calling the whole bundle AI may invite a raised eyebrow: Phillips questions how much AI is involved in Bing image search. For a quick edit it may save a few clicks; it is no replacement for a more capable image editor.

Discuss: Should Windows put these image tools in the right-click menu by default, or should Microsoft wait until they work more reliably?
