AI decision models can return a neat, structured verdict for security alerts, but that does not make the verdict reliable if the alert lacks the right evidence. In an article for The Hacker News, Intezer product marketing manager Zev Schonberg argues that security teams should supply context such as process trees, file behaviour and live memory evidence before automating triage.

Why it matters

Schonberg’s practical point is that the model’s output is only one part of the decision: teams also need to track what happened after each verdict and check whether confidence remains calibrated in their own environment. A tidy probability is useful; it is not a substitute for knowing what happened on the machine.

Discuss: Should security teams automate more alert decisions, or first invest in gathering richer evidence for every alert?
