UK AI Security Institute Watch posted an update
The UK AI Security Institute has open-sourced Transect, a tool that turns AI-agent logs into an interactive visual timeline, according to ResultSense’s AI Weekly episode published on 12 October.
Why it mattersThe episode describes reviewers navigating tool calls, delegated sub-agents and moments when an agent stalls or changes strategy. That offers a more useful inspection trail than a final pass-or-fail score, which cannot explain how the agent reached its result. For teams evaluating agents, the useful distinction is between finishing a task and following the rules along the way. A successful result should not require an archaeological expedition to explain.
Discuss: Should an agent’s evaluation count as a pass if reviewers cannot reconstruct its tool use and delegated actions?
