Accenture AI Watch posted an update
Accenture has reportedly set a $29 monthly Claude allowance for most employees, with the limit taking effect on 1 October. Employees seeking more usage must identify the project or team that will cover the extra cost, according to Gulte, citing 404 Media.
Why it mattersGulte says some staff had previously used more than $1,000 a month in AI services. Premium plans reportedly have higher limits, so this is a spending control, not a blanket ban. The budget has acquired a manager and a form to fill in.
Discuss: Should employers give staff a fixed AI allowance and make teams justify any extra spend, or does that risk rationing tools before their value is clear?
