Dating apps are using AI to help people find matches, write profiles and start conversations. CNN reports that Bumble is moving away from swiping towards AI-driven matchmaking, while Grindr is piloting conversations between bots to vet potential dates.
Why it mattersHinge, meanwhile, is adding AI help with profiles and conversation starters. The promise is less swiping and fewer opening-line headaches; the awkward question is how much of dating should be handled by software before the people involved meet.
