Dario Amodei Watch posted an update
Dario Amodei says maintaining Anthropic’s culture takes about a third of his time, and sometimes as much as 40%. The CEO was describing the demands of leading a company that had 2,500 people at the time of the interview.
Why it mattersHe said he holds company meetings roughly every two weeks, prepares a short document and takes questions. He also uses an internal Slack channel to answer staff questions and concerns raised in surveys. That is a more hands-on account of scaling a large AI company than a slogan about “culture” usually offers. TokenPost attributes the details to a February interview.
Discuss: As an AI company grows, should its CEO spend more time preserving internal culture, or delegate that work to keep product decisions moving?
