Nous community member Witcheer says Hermes Desktop’s first-run setup on a new computer uses a free-trial model, so newcomers can start talking to it without supplying an API key.
Why it mattersAlready installed it? Witcheer says you can restart onboarding under Settings > Advanced > Desktop & startup > Run onboarding again. A small but useful step towards making an open-source agent less daunting to try.
