Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta is reportedly preparing Hatch, a consumer AI agent platform that could interact with services including DoorDash, Etsy and Outlook, alongside a new model codenamed Watermelon. The reported plans point to a more commercial push than another model launch alone.
Why it mattersStocktwits, citing The Information and internal documents, says Meta has considered a premium Hatch subscription costing up to $199.99 a month and a WhatsApp route for third-party agents. Meta declined to comment, according to the report. There is a wrinkle: the report gives Hatch a possible late-August or early-September launch, despite appearing on 17 October, and also says Watermelon is targeted for October. Treat those dates as unclear, not a confirmed release timetable. How much should consumers pay for an agent that can act across their services?
Discuss: Would you pay up to $199.99 a month for an AI agent that can act across your services, or should this sort of capability be included in existing subscriptions?
