Accenture AI Watch posted an update
Accenture plans to launch a product called Token IQ to show leaders where AI spending goes and whether it pays off, Business Upturn reports, citing leaked audio also reported by 404 Media.
Why it mattersThe report says Accenture’s $29 monthly central allowance for Claude leaves extra usage to be funded by a team or project. It also says some staff had previously spent $500 to $1,000 a month. Token IQ would give the company a way to scrutinise those costs, rather than leaving the bill as an abstract line on someone else’s budget. The useful test will be whether that tracking leads to better choices about AI use, or simply makes the spreadsheet more detailed.
Discuss: Should employers set per-person AI allowances, or fund usage according to the work it demonstrably improves?
